The ZSK seminars can accompany your teamwork in projects, as well as lectures and seminars, which you can attend during your master studies. Practical soft skills for mechatronic projects in development and production

As shown by different studies of important industry associations (VDMA, VDA), about 50% of all mechatronic development projects do not meet the specified goals in terms of quality, costs and deadlines. In the seminar, you will practice the key Competencies demanded by the industry based on practical case studies with a strong industrial focus. You will attend a mixture of key competence trainings of the ZSK and practical lectures by Dr. med. Stetter (ITQ) on topics such as presentation, teamwork and creativity techniques.

Goals:

The students engage in various soft skills cooperating under the umbrella of mechatronic projects and develop their skills in the field of teamwork, communication and conflict resolution as well as presentation.

Conditions:

You will receive 4 ECTS (internship) and 2 ECTS in the area of soft skills for participation in the seminar.

Content and goals The Chair of Helicopter Technology once again organizes the soft-skill seminar "Leadership in Practice" for Master students. The Soft Skill Seminar including practical exercises on leadership and teamwork will take place this year from 29.11.2017 to 01.12.2017. The two-day training will be complemented by a speaker day with executives from the helicopter industry. The application is now possible. The end of the application period is on 27.10.2017. Interested students are ought to send a half-page motivation letter to amine.abdelmoula@tum.de. Please write down the number of your semester, main fields of study and practical experience.

The aim of the cooperation is to optimally combine the subject matter of your studies with the development of your key Competencies. You will participate in the three-hour workshop "Working Together Successfully". Later, you will reflect on the collaboration during the internship in a one-hour workshop. In the workshop, you will learn about factors that are important for a successful cooperation and therefore you can apply and reflect these factors with other students in the university internship. Optionally, you get the opportunity to participate in workshops in the field of "presenting effectively". These workshops will help you prepare the presentation planned for the university internship. You will be taught presentation techniques and you will receive a personal feedback on your presentation in advance.
